In a world of international travel and global trade most people recognise the value of being able to speak another language. Linguatique Limited was established in 2005 to motivate and stimulate budding linguists in all age groups by introducing a range of branded toys, books and games in European languages.

The main focus of the Company in the early days was education. The government hatched a plan to introduce Modern Languages into primary schools and Linguatique, founded by a former Secondary MFL Head of Department, was at the forefront of this initiative, attending LEA workshops and resource fairs throughout the UK. The company exhibited successive years at the Primary Language Show and was added to the website of the National Centre for Language Learning, CILT.

As the reputation of Linguatique Limited spread, enquiries from other organisations - language clubs, libraries and after school clubs - increased. Linguatique Limited was the only company in the UK importing such an extensive range of branded products in French, German and Spanish and took care to include a large number of items with self correction features that could be enjoyed with little or no prior knowledge of the language and that encouraged independent play.

In 2007 Linguatique Limited consolidated it's success when the leading UK educational supplier adopted a selection of items to feature in their catalogue, distributed to schools throughout the UK.

In 2009, Linguatique Limited, sponsored by Bath and North Eastern LEA, was invited to join the OPEN (Online Procurement for Educational Needs) Marketplace, managed by the DCSF. It is our aim in 2010 to upload our catalogue to OPEN and upgrade our presence on this government website to Silver Status.

In recent times Linguatique has recognised a growing interest for our unusual products amongst parents keen to support their childrens' education or planning to relocate overseas. We launch our new look website in January 2010 with credit card facilities to accommodate this need. We are also working on a "Free Resources for Schools" scheme due to be launched in April 2010 that will enable parents to support their local schools.
