The following Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions with the Company Linguatique Limited, unless variations have been agreed in writing with a Director before a transaction takes place. The Company does not offer any of the goods appearing on this website for sale. Instead we are inviting the Customer to place an offer with us and we reserve the right to reject any such offer received from the Customer. If we accept any such offer we will notify the Customer by email and a legally binding contract will be formed between us at the time of sending such notification whether the customer receives that notification or not. Any terms sought to be imposed by the Customer in the order will not form part of contract.
For Business Account Holders, Council and Government Organisations paying on account, the contract will be formed upon communication confirming that we have dispatched the goods you have ordered from us.
By placing an order the Customer will be acknowledging that they have read and accept the terms and conditions on this website. These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time and it is incumbent on the Customer to revisit the Terms and Conditions every time an order is placed.
Any contract for purchases made through the web site will be with Linguatique Limited, 197 Reinwood Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD3 4DS, UK, company registration number 5330913, VAT registration number 854 4103 41.
Linguatique Limited reserves the right to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our web site. The Company shall also be entitled to withdraw from any contract that cannot be fulfilled due to lack of stock.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice and the valid price shall be the price published on the date of order. Prices showing on the website as 0.00 have not yet been fixed.
Linguatique Limited is pleased to offer credit facilities to Schools, LEAs and other Council or Government Organisations for all orders accompanied by an official Purchase Order Number. Please note that it is the policy of Linguatique Limited to verify the authenticity of the Purchase Order Number by contacting the Organisation concerned. Except by prior written agreement with a Director of the Company payment for these account holders is due strictly within 30 days of receipt of invoice. Orders may also be placed through the O.P.E.N. website where eprocurement and electronic billing are available.

In the case of overdue invoices the Company reserves the right to charge interest on a daily basis at a rate of 2% above HSBC Bank PLC's base rate. All charges incurred by third parties for the recovery of unpaid bills shall be the responsibility of the Account Holder. The Company reserves the right to refuse credit and suspend or close an account at its own discretion without explanation.
Private customers can pay by any major credit card online using our secure Paypal facility or by postal order or cheque. Payment sent through the post should be accompanied by a copy of the completed order form downloaded from the Website. Cheques should be made payable to Linguatique Limited and sent to the Accounts Department at the address shown in Section 3. In the case of payment by cheque, goods will only be dispatched when the cheque has cleared.

The Company regrets that it cannot accept orders over the telephone unless these are accompanied by an official Purchase Order Number or are confirmed in writing. In the case of difficulties in using our online ordering service please click here to contact Customer Services.
Business Account Holders who wish to take advantage of the 30 day credit facilities can email their order to Customer Services. If it is helpful, they can complete the printable order form on the website at www.linguatique.com and send this as an attachment. The order form can be located by clicking “Order Form” on the top navigation menu and the “Continue” button at the bottom of the next page. Please quote your Business Account Number when completing this form. Alternatively Business Account Holders can print the form and send it by post to: Business Accounts, Linguatique Limited, 197 Reinwood Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD3 4DS.
All orders will be subject to an additional postage charge based on the location for delivery and the weight of the product with its packaging. The postage fee will be added to the invoice during the checkout procedure prior to the final order confirmation. Currently the main service provider is Royal Mail. More details can be found by clicking on "P & P" at the top of the screen. The Company reserves the right to vary the charges and to change the provider without prior notice. In the event of a modification the date of the order will determine the charge that is applied.
The Company aims, but does not guarantee, to dispatch goods within 2 working days of receipt of order for specified organisations and account holders or within 2 working days of payment being cleared for private customers. In the unlikely event that there should be a difficulty with an order the Company undertakes to contact the Customer by email to seek further instruction. To avoid causing disappointment Linguatique Limited will only accept orders for items already in stock.
The title of goods supplied and its ownership shall remain the property of the Company until full payment has been received for all the goods supplied. However, responsibility for damage to or loss of goods will pass to the Customer on the seventh day following delivery of the goods into the Customer's possession and will remain the responsibility of the Customer thereafter. The Company must be notified within 7 working days of the Customer accepting the goods if, on receipt, they are found to be damaged, incorrect or incomplete in any way. Failure to notify within this time period could nullify any claim for refund or compensation.
When goods are ordered in error the Customer may cancel within 7 working days of the date of order and incur no penalties. The Company does not accept cancellation for goods ordered in error beyond this time period. The Customer must inform Linguatique Ltd of the intention to cancel either by email or by letter to Customer Services, Linguatique Limited, 197 Reinwood Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD3 4DS. The Customer should keep a copy of any such written communication and produce it should any dispute arise.
In the case of faulty, defective or incomplete goods the Customer should contact the Customer Service Department at Linguatique Limited as soon as possible for advice. All goods purchased from the www.linguatique.com website are protected by the normal statutory guarantees. Where the Company has agreed to issue a refund for whatever reason Linguatique Limited undertakes to issue that refund within 30 days of the refund being agreed.
It is the statutory duty of the Customer to retain possession of the goods and to take good care of them throughout the period of the cancellation.
If on receipt of goods the Customer has made an ordering error it is the responsibility of the Customer to return the goods to Linguatique Limited and to pay any charges for that return. This does not affect the Customer’s right to a full refund with no penalties for goods and delivery charges incurred when placing the order. Should the Customer fail to return the goods or fail to cover the expenses of the return the Company shall invoice the Customer for the direct costs of the return. In the unlikely event that goods received are damaged, faulty or incomplete, Linguatique Limited shall make arrangements for the collection of the goods and shall pay the expenses of the return.
Every effort is made to ensure that illustrations and descriptions in the catalogue are accurate. Customers however should understand that colours, designs and product specifications can be modified by manufacturers and as such cannot be guaranteed. Promotional literature on the website does not constitute a trade description. The weight of each product is displayed in the product listing. The weight shown is the weight of the product plus the estimated weight of the packaging based on the dimensions of the product. Each product on the Website is flagged with a level of language competence using the terms “Beginner” “Intermediate” and “Advanced” and with a keystage recommendation. These are given as a guide only and the Company cannot accept responsibility if the Customer does not agree with the level or keystage given to a particular product.
