In Level 1 phonetic sounds are grouped together and matched to simple words and syllables with pictures. Each new syllable is introduced in an ordered fashion to enable progressive learning and there are cut out tokens to cover up sound clues and check the readers progress.

Level 2 starts by summarising the sounds and syllables taught in Level 1 then introduces phonetic sounds through longer words and phrases highlighting each syllable with coloured dots and illustrating with colourful pictures.
